Written by Webmaster

The following event is being put on by 6th District PTA, our friends to the south in Santa Clara County.

Palo Alto Council of PTAs in 6th District is inviting anyone who is interested to come to a FREE community screening of “First to Worst”, a famous must-see PBS documentary on the state of California’s public schools, followed by a special panel discussion with John Merrow, the filmmaker; Marshall Smith, Director of Education, William & Flora Hewlett Fund; Deborah Stipek, Dean, Stanford Grad School of Education; and Delaine Eastin, former State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Click here to learn more about the film.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME–this is important not only to parents and teachers, but to homeowners, business owners, and the entire community. Please come; please bring friends, neighbors and colleagues; and please help spread the word!

The event is on Thursday, May 22nd at the Spangenberg Theatre at Gunn High School, 780 Arastradero Rd., Palo Alto (view map). There will be a pre-event community social at 6:30 PM, and the program will begin at 7:00 PM. For more information, contact Wendy Kandasamy.
