Written by Webmaster

17th District PTA’s Nominating Committee has submitted the following slate of nominees for the 2009-11 term of the Board of Managers. These officers will be elected during our Founder’s Day Luncheon on February 17, 2009. Any person who qualifies for office (has been a member within 17th District for at least thirty (30) days prior to election and meets any other restrictions written in 17th District PTA’s bylaws) may be nominated from the floor during the election meeting. Nominees shall be elected by ballot during the election meeting except for officers where there is but one nominee, in which case the ballot may be dispensed with and the election held by voice vote.
As per 17th District’s bylaws, the Parliamentarian, committee chairs, and area counselors for the new term shall be appointed by the president-elect and ratified by the board-elect. If, however, you are interested in serving in one of these positions, please e-mail Kathryn Cross, Nominating Committee Chair.
