17th District Elects Board of Directors for 2009-11 Term

Written by Webmaster

Congratulations to those who were elected as officers of the Board of Directors for the upcoming 2009-11 term at today’s 17th District General Meeting. There were no nominations from the floor, and so the revised slate of nominees presented by the Nominating Committee were elected unanimously. The officers of the board-elect are listed on our Board of Managers page.

There are currently four Board of Directors positions vacant: 3rd Vice President of Member Services, 4th Vice President of Communications, 6th Vice President of Health/Community Concerns, and Treasurer. It will be a priority of the board-elect to fill these positions, particularly the Treasurer position, which is a required position to have filled. In addition, 17th District has numerous committee chairs that serve on the Board of Managers whom are appointed by the President-Elect, and these chairmanships will also need to be filled. Please contact Colette Rudd, President-Elect if you or someone you know might be interested in serving in any of these roles during the 2009-11 term, which begins on July 1.

The elected officers will be installed at our “Spotlight on PTA” event on Saturday, May 16. More information about Spotlight will be released as the date approaches.
